Van Osch topples Brown in Tim Horton's women's final

Ali Renwick’s team went 4-3 to place third at the Tim Hortons Junior Women’s Curling Championships, held at the Chilliwack Curling Club. Chilliwack’s Renwick — joined by skip Dezaray Hawes, second Gabrielle Plonka and lead Casey Freeman — had wins over the Briana Egan rink from Coquitlam, Corryn Brown rink from Kamloops, Mariah Coulombe rink from Juan de Fuca and Shawna Jensen rink from Victoria. But an 8-1 semi-final loss to Nanaimo’s Kalia Van Osch kept them out of the final.
