Updated: Seye Farinu of the Mount Douglas Rams was added to the team on Thursday, Dec. 19. This story has been amended from its original version to reflect this addition.

Five players from the Mount Douglas Rams and two more from the Belmont Bulldogs have been named to the prestigious U-18 Team B.C. that will play two games in the upcoming Football University International Showcase in Texas.

Representing the Belmont Bulldogs are Tristin Fourish as an offensive lineman and Sam Varao as a linebacker. From the AAA B.C. champion Mount Douglas Rams are Nicholas James as a defensive lineman, Sheldon Mack as a linebacker, Aarmin Purewal as an offensive lineman and Julian Luis and Seye Farinu as running backs.

Farinu was added a day later than the team as Windsor Dukes quarterback Ty Marshall withdrew from the team.

Alexis Sanschagrin of the Belmont Bulldogs coaching staff will act as the defensive backs coach and Mark Townsend of the Mount Douglas Rams will take on the running backs and special teams coaching jobs. They join a deep staff led by head coach Tom Kudaba from the AAA runner-up Terry Fox Ravens, who will work with the offensive line, his fourth consecutive year in the role.

B.C. plays Texas East at Heroes Stadium on Wednesday, Jan. 1 and Team Europe on Saturday, Jan. 4 in the Alamodome. The FBU International series is part of the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl Week, a  showcase for top prospects in San Antonio, Tx, from Dec. 30 to Jan. 4.
