Agassiz Chieftains showed that they are ready to work hard this season in their exhibition game against the AA team DW Poppy last Tuesday night. The Chieftains lost the exhibition game 67-40. Brain Tran led the team in scoring with 16 points and Ross McInroy and Hayden Simon both added 5 points.

“I was pleased with the team's effort,” said coach Kyle Dickey. “The team needs to work on the fundamentals of basketball, especially on the offensive side of the game.”

On Friday and Saturday the boys were up in Kamloops for a kick off tournament at St Ann’s Academy. The team lost two games and won one game, finishing sixth.  Sean Lau, Ross McInroy and international student Tatsuto earned player of the game awards.
