Top-flight guest coach Craig Sherbaty worked with Aldergrove’s TimBit hockey players at Aldergrove Arena as part of RBC Sports Day in Canada events on Saturday, Nov. 30. Sports Day is designed to give people a chance to try out new sports without having to commit to enrollment fees.

Health Minister Terry Lake said, “Sports Day in Canada is an opportunity for all British Columbians to celebrate the power of sport, build stronger communities and facilitate healthy active living.

“Through the Healthy Families BC strategy, our government is developing new partnerships with communities, schools and employers to support people in making healthier choices through programs that aim to reduce tobacco use, increase opportunities for physical activity, support healthy eating and promote healthy weights.

“We are committed to making the healthy choice the easier choice for British Columbians. British Columbia was the first jurisdiction to partner with ParticipACTION, investing $6 million to help increase physical activity levels throughout our province.”
