VIDEO: Red Wings ride depth to 2-1 win over Vancouver Canucks
Daniel Sedin's first goal was a thing of beauty – even if his shot was a wounded duck – and the highest peak in a game featuring several moments of Canuck-like flair.
Of course, they were only moments, and the Red Wings controlled the majority of Wednesday night's mid-week affair, using the possession game of Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg (and Todd Bertuzzi) to hem Vancouver into their own zone, while Daniel Alfredsson and Tomas Tatar scored unanswered goals in the second period.
It was a successful Western reunion for our once-rival Red Wings. Final score: 2-1 Detroit.
