Castlegar golfer one off the lead in Vancouver
Castlegar golfer Al Cummings is one off the lead after round one of the Special Olympics Canada National Golf Tournament at the University Golf Club in Vancouver.
Cummings fired a 55 (+19 over nine holes) and leads in scoring on the par-three holes. He made par on both the 124-yard 11th and 110-yard 16th in yesterday's round.
The M2 division that Cummings is in has an eight-man field with players from B.C., N.S., Sask. and Ont.
There is currently a three-way tie for the lead, with Jonathan Bolger and Matthew Borkowski of Ont. at +18 with Saskatchewan's Joshua Bailey.
Cummings tee time Friday in the three-round event is 11:50 a.m.
