Dates changed: Kodiaks and Sockeyes face off in final junior hockey round

Aldergrove Kodiaks celebrate after winning the semi-finals series against the Abbotsford Pilots on Tuesday, March 12 at Abbotsford's MSA Arena. The 4-1 win was the Kodiaks' fourth victory in the series and advances the team to the finals against the winner of the other division, either Richmond Sockeyes or the Delta Ice Hawks.

The Richmond Sockeyes have clinched the Tom Shaw conference playoff series to advance to the Pacific Junior Hockey League championship versus the Aldergrove Kodiaks of the Harold Brittain conference.

The Sockeyes took Game 7 against the Delta Ice Hawks, 5-1, Monday night at Minoru Arena. The Kodiaks had defeated Abbotsford Pilots last week in four out of five games in their series.

Game 1 in the best-of-seven championship series between the Aldergrove Kodiaks and Richmond Sockeyes is set for Wednesday, March 20, 7:15 p.m. at Aldergrove Arena.
