Richmond Sockeyes take 3-1 series lead
Richmond Sockeyes will have a chance to advance to the Pacific Junior Hockey League playoff championship series with a victory Thursday.
The Sockeyes took a three games to one lead in the Tom Shaw Conference final Tuesday, with a 6-5 win over the Delta Ice Hawks at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
Game 5 in the best-of-seven conference playoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Minoru Arenas. If needed, Game 6 is scheduled to be played Saturday at 7;30 p.m. in Ladner and Game 7 Monday at 8:45 p.m. at Minoru.
The winner of the Richmond-Delta series will face the Aldergrove Kodiaks for the PJHL playoff title. Aldergrove won the Harold Brittain Conference final four games to one following a 4-1 victory over the visiting Abbotsford Pilots Tuesday.
