Eagles named to BCHL all-star squads
A flock of Surrey Eagles were front and centre when the BC Hockey League announced its all-star and all-rookie teams Wednesday.
Twenty-year-old forward Brady Shaw, who leads the team in scoring, and defencemen Devon Toews and Craig Wyszomirski were all named first-team all-stars, while forward Adam Tambellini and goaltender Michael Santaguida were named to the BCHL's second all-star team.
Santaguida was also named to the league's all-rookie team.
The Eagles wrap up the regular-season schedule this weekend, with a two-game home-and-home series against the Coquitlam Express.
Friday, the Eagles travel to Coquitlam, and the teams then move to South Surrey Arena Saturday for a rematch.
Puck drop for both tilts is 7 p.m.
