Knights lead division final 2-0
David London scored a pair of powerplay goals, including the winner with seven minutes to play, as the North Okanagan Knights stopped the Sicamous Eagles 4-3 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoff action Tuesday night at Nor-Val Arena.
The Knights lead their best-of-seven Doug Birks Division final 2-0. The series heads to Sicamous for Games 3 and 4 Thursday and Friday respectively. If necessary, the remaining three games would go Sunday (Armstrong), Monday (Sicamous) and Tuesday (Armstrong).
Brandon Shirley and captain Steve Pantazopoulos, who also converted on the man advantage, rounded out North Okanagan's offence in front of netminder Austin Buzzell (27 saves).
Kris Joyce made 22 stops for the Eagles, who got a deuce from Cam Olson and a single from Brayden Taekema.
