Double gold for synchro swimmer Stobbe
Alannah Stobbe of Abbotsford won a pair of gold medals at the recent provincial synchronized swimming championships in Surrey.
Competing with the BC Aquasonics, Stobbe helped the club’s 13-15 national stream combo team win their division, achieving outstanding technical and artistic scores in their second routine to edge the Vancouver Pacific Wave for the gold.
Stobbe also teamed with Madyson Stickley of Surrey to win the 13-15 duet event. They were in second place after Saturday’s figures event, but their routine on Sunday pushed them into first.
