Accolades for Cascades captain Stewart
Brittany Stewart was named a second-team PacWest conference all-star.
The fifth-year libero for the Fraser Valley Cascades women’s volleyball team was second in the league in digs with 4.35 per game.
This was Stewart’s third-straight selection as a second-team conference all-star.
The Cascades were 22-2 during the regular season and captured the provincial PacWest league banner over the weekend.
The team now heads to Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alta. where they will compete at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association national championships.
The tournament runs March 6 to 9.
Stewart, the Cascades team captain, is a Walnut Grove Secondary graduate.
