North Van RCMP team wins provincial tournament
In a tough competition, North Vancouver's RCMP team beat Delta to claim victory in the Jean Minguy RCMP Memorial Hockey Tournament.
Nine teams from throughout B.C. played in the tournament from Feb. 7 to 9 in Vernon.
The tournament is named after Cst. Jean Minguy who drowned in Okanagan Lake while on-duty in 2005. He worked for the North Van police department during the '80s and '90s. All money raised is donated to BC Children's Hospital.
