Big win over the Hitmen

Last Saturday night in front of almost 2,800 fans the Kootenay ICE won their twelve straight home game with a win over the Calgary Hitmen.

After a scoreless first period the ICE would get goals from Levi Cable and a power play marker from Jakub Prochazka. Calgary would score early in the third on a ICE turn over but it was all Kootenay after that. The ICE would score three goals in less than two minutes and Mackenzie Skapski closed the door stopping 27 of 28 shots.

Third period goals were from Brock Montgomery, Jaedon Deschaneau, and Jordyn Boyd. Kootenay Battling to retain a play-off spot played with lots of intensity against Calgary who might end up being the first match up in the post season.
