Mustangs clinch berth to Okanagan valley championship
The Princess Margaret Mustangs junior girls basketball team clinched the second South Zone berth in the Okanagan Valley Championship with a 51-20 victory over Keremeos.
Danielle Ruocco led the charge with 14 points while Taylor Corrie chipped in 12. Megan Blair and Shinaaz Johal both added seven points and 10 rebounds each. The Mustangs will face the Clarence Fulton Maroons of Vernon in Kelowna in the first round of the eight-team tournament. The top two teams from the Valley will advance to the provincials in March at Brookswood in Langley.
