River City hosting high-school curling championships
Kamloops is hosting the 49th annual B.C. High School Curling Championships, which will be played from Feb. 28 to March 3 at the Kamloops Curling Club (KCC).
There will be 16 teams from across the province competing for the provincial title.
Regional playdowns get underway this month to determine who qualifies for provincials.
Last year, Corryn Brown's South Kamloops secondary rink placed second.
There is no attendance fee and curling gets underway each day at 9 a.m.
KCC is also hosting the Canadian Interuniversity Sports Championship in March and the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier.
