KGTC athletes fly high

There was plenty to cheer about for Kamloops Gymnastics Trampoline Centre athletes at the Shasta Invitational trials, held in Burnaby on Saturday, Feb. 2, and Sunday, Feb. 3.

Gavin Dodd placed first in three events — 15-and-under trampoline, 14-and-under double-mini trampoline and 13-and-under tumbling.

In national under-18 action, Emily Schmidt won gold in double-mini and silver in trampoline. She also won bronze in 15-and-over tumbling competition.

Jean-Luc Laroche was first in national under-18 double-mini.

Kristina Dodd won silver in 13-and-under tumbling.

In 13-and-under competition, Ben Jacoby won gold in trampoline and bronze in double-mini.

Mario Bruno was third in 16-and-over trampoline and first in 15-and-over double-mini.

Jordon Ferguson was first in 16-and-over trampoline, third in 15-and-over double-mini and first in 14-and-over tumbling.

Jaxson Coull was second in 13-and-under double-mini and third in 14-and-under trampoline.

Madeline Hart, Hannah Walker, Genna Bruno and Jaeden Gorman also attended the event.
