Rotary hosts annual Ice Man Fish Derby
Devin Holland (l) holds up a nice-looking kokanee while Jerry Carter holds the 44 cm sucker that won him the $300 first place prize in Clearwater Rotary Club's annual Ice Man fishing derby on Sunday morning. A total of 55 anglers registered, up from 42 last year.

Jim Thomas holds up the 35.5 cm kokanee that won him the $200 second place prize in the fishing derby. A good many more fish were caught this year than in previous years, possibly because the derby was held earlier in the season.

(L-r) Matt Parsons, Robert Donnelly and Terry Reiter hold up their 34.5 cm fish - good enough to tie for third. After a draw, Reiter took home the $100 cheque.

Dallas Luxton, age three, tries his hand at ice-fishing for the first time in his life. He was having fun, he says. Many youngsters took part in activities organized by Clearwater Trout Hatchery during the derby.
