Pilots' offence shifts into high gear in blowout win over Panthers
Coming off a 7-3 loss to the Ridge Meadows Flames last Wednesday, the Abbotsford Pilots took their frustrations out on the Port Moody Panthers.
The local junior B hockey club outshot the Panthers by an eye-popping 43-9 margin en route to a 10-1 victory on Friday at MSA Arena.
Six Pilots – Brady Lawlor, Brad Parker, Ryan Parmar, Kyle Star, Dakota Schipper and Keith Bendall – registered three points apiece in the victory, while goalie Aaron Oakley's eight-save outing was more than good enough to win.
The Pilots (27-9-2) return to action on Friday, when the host the North Vancouver Wolf Pack (7:30 p.m., MSA Arena).
