Kelowna comes back for 4-3 overtime win in Seattle
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-3 in overtime Friday night in Seattle, coming from behind for its fifth straight win and sweeping a home and home series with the Thunderbirds.
Tyson Baillie scored the game winner in overtime after Zach Franko had tied the game 3-3 late in the third period.
The Rockets trailed 2-0 and 3-1 in the game, but battled back to keep the score close before Franko tied the game with 2:27 to play in the third period.
Ryan Olsen, with his 24th of the season, and Dylen McKinlay, with his 18th, also scored for Kelowna.
Jackson Whistle earned the win in net, facing 30 shots including four in overtime.
The win improves the Rockets record to 36-10-2-1 on the season, first place in the WHL BC Division and second overall in the Western Conference.
The Rockets will be right back into action on Saturday night when they return to Prospera Place in Kelowna to host the Prince Albert Raiders.
Kelowna has won a team-record 20 straight games at Prospera Place and there are tickets are available for the game.
