Rockets sweep Chiefs, go for home-record Saturday
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Spokane Chiefs 4-2 in WHL action on Friday night in Spokane, winning both ends of a home and home series between the two teams.
Ryan Olsen scored twice as the Rockets followed up Wednesday night's 5-3 win in Kelowna with the victory in Spokane.
Jordon Cooke earned the win in net, shutting down the Chiefs for his 17th straight win. Cooke was especially good in the third when the Chiefs outshot Kelowna 21-4 but could only score once.
Jesse Lees and MacKenzie Johnson also scored for the Rockets who improved to 33-10-2-1 with the win.
Kelowna is back in action on Saturday night when they host the Vancouver Giants at Prospera Place.
