Clippers win blowout, shutout
The Nanaimo Clippers were too much for the Cowichan Valley Capitals on the weekend.
The surging Clips, winners of six of their last seven games, defeated the last-placed Caps 3-0 on Saturday at Duncan's Island Savings Centre.
The shutout win came a day after the Clippers blew past the Capitals 7-2 at Nanaimo's Frank Crane Arena.
In Saturday's rematch Reid Sturos scored two goals, Mason Mitchell had the other and goalie Jayson Argue got the no-no as his team outshot the opposition 44-29.
GAME ON … The Clippers host the Vernon Vipers this Friday (Jan. 18) at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.
