Giants end Rockets eight-game win streak
The Vancouver Giants defeated Kelowna 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, ending the Rockets eight-game WHL winning streak.
Brett Kulak scored the game winner at 3:01 of overtime to give the Giants the win. Vancouver outshot Kelowna 30-27 on the night, in dropping the Rockets record to 31-10-2-1.
Colton Sissons, Rourke Chartier and Dylen McKinlay scored for the Rockets while Jackson Whistle took the loss in net.
Kelowna, with 17 consecutive wins on home ice, returns to Prospera Place on Wednesday when it hosts the Spokane Chiefs.
