Rockets down Tigers for fifth straight WHL win
The Kelowna Rockets extended their winning streak to five games on Friday night, defeating the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-2 in the third game of a five-game road trip.
Five different Rockets hit the scoresheet as the team won its 10th game in its past 11 to improve to 22-9-1-1 on the season.
Tyson Baillie, Damon Severson, Myles Bell, Henrik Nyberg and Dylen McKinlay scored the Rockets, who recorded wins against Kooteany and Lethbridge to open the road trip.
Jordon Cooke earned the win in net, facing 22 shots while the Rockets fired 39 shots at the Tigers' net.
Kelowna continues its road trip through the WHL Central Division on Saturday in Red Deer before playing Sunday in Calgary.
The team returns to Kelowna Dec. 27 to host the Kamloops Blazers.
