Hawks soar to victory

There was plenty of fast-paced excitement this past Sunday as the Hyland Ready Mix Hawks played the End of the Roll Rangers in CVMHA Bantam hockey at Glacier Gardens arena.

The Hawks opened the scoring quickly in the first period when Tezlan Heyer tapped in a nice pass from Joe Linegar just one minute into the game.

The Hawks then went up by two when a hard shot from just inside the blue line by Dawson Gillespie eluded Rangers' goalie Anthony Kervin.

A nice individual effort by Rangers' captain Noah Pellat ended with a hard shot, top corner that beat

Hawks' goaltender Andrew Szilagyi on the glove side. Tony Burchill assisted on Tezlan Heyer's second goal of the game in the second period to put the Hawks back up by two goals.

There was no scoring in the third period. The final score was Hyland Ready Mix Hawks 3, End of the Roll Rangers 1.
