Spence 25th at junior nationals

Sara Spence of Kamloops finished 25th overall at the national junior short track speed skating championships in Toronto on the weekend.

The 16-year-old River City Racer's best finish was 17th in the 1,500m race.

Spence, who still has two seasons in front of her as a junior skater, was one of six females from B.C. to qualify for the event.
