Hadwin comes up two strokes shy at PGA Tour Q-School

For the second time in just over a month, Adam Hadwin came within a whisker of earning his PGA Tour card for next season.

In late October, James Hahn's birdie on the 18th hole of the final round of the Web.com Tour Championship knocked Hadwin out of the top 25 on the Web.Com money list, which would have given him playing privileges on the highest-profile, richest golf tour on the planet.

Over the past week at the third and final stage of PGA Tour Q-School, 25 more cards were up for grabs, and the Abbotsford golfer came up just two strokes shy.

Hadwin struggled in the first round of the grueling six-round event at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif., carding a two-over 74 last Wednesday. But he steadied himself with a 71 on Thursday, then reeled off four consecutive rounds of 68.

That left Hadwin at 15 under par, but -17 was the number he needed to get to. He finished tied for 32nd in a field of 165 golfers.

It seems just a matter of time before Hadwin is on the PGA Tour, but the 25-year-old will be back on the second-tier Web.com Tour for a second consecutive season. He notched four top-10 finishes in 25 starts in 2012, and earned $168,713.
