Dynamic duo paces Titans

Emma Wolfram and Maya Olynyk helped lead the South Kamloops Titans to victory at the Mouat Century 21 tournament in Abbotsford on the weekend.

Wolfram scored 19 points, grabbed 24 rebounds and added seven blocked shots, while Olynyk racked up a game-high 22 points in the Titans’ 62-52 win over the Oak Bay Breakers in the championship game on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Olynyk also pitched in with six helpers and six rebounds.

The tournament featured a stacked field, with five provincially-ranked AAA teams — No. 1 South Kamloops, No. 2 Riverside, No. 3 Brookswood, No. 6 Oak Bay and No. 7 Maple Ridge.

Olynyk was named tournament MVP and a tournament all star. Wolfram also made the all-star squad.
