Glacier Kings swap Robertson for Storm D-man
The Comox Valley Glacier Kings have acquired 17-year-old defenceman Max Crawford from the Campbell River Storm. The 6' 2," 200-pound Crawford has two assists in 11 games so far this season, along with 73 penalty minutes. He is in his second season in the VIJHL. Crawford is a left-handed defenceman known for his shut down style of play.
"Our line up got a lot stronger today," Head Coach Bill Rotheisler said Sunday. "Max is a talented, hard working and gritty defenceman that provides us with a role we have been missing a great deal. He is hard to play against. Max fits many things that our staff believes our team has been missing and is somebody we have been watching for awhile now."
In acquiring Crawford, the Kings sent 18-year-old veteran Adam Robertson to the Storm. Robertson, who started out the season as a forward, has played the last several games on defence, including the previous game against his new team.
The Kings would like to thank Adam for his contributions over the past two seasons and wish him the best with his new organization.
