Blazers send Oakes to Storm

The Kamloops Blazers re-assigned 17-year-old forward Devon Oakes to the Kamloops Storm of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Oakes has not been on the Blazers' active roster since undergoing off-season surgery.

The Prince Rupert product has been practising with the Blazers since the beginning of training camp, but was not under contract.

Oakes has been cleared for contact and is expected to suit up with the Storm this weekend.
