Delta team places eight players on B.C. field hockey team
The Delta Falcons field hockey club is developing a new generation of top quality players as eight players were recently named to the B.C. Provincial Boys U14 team.
The accomplishment is quite a feat given the B.C. side has a roster of 32 players.
Earning spots on the provincial team are Harrison Wade, Trevor Feehan, Jacob Kitagawa, Brent McNeil, Parker Woods, Graeme Carswell, Andrew Kanerva and Matthew Littlewood.
South Delta has a long history of producing field hockey talent.
Tsawwassen brothers Peter and Rob Short remain mainstays of the mens national team and will be competing at the Beijng Olympics this month. Joining them is Tsawwassen’s Mark Pearson who at 21 is the youngest member of Canada’s team.
