LETTER—Reasons to vote yes on Southlands
You should vote yes to develop the Southlands if you believe any change is good.
You should vote yes if you prefer urban sprawl to green space.
You should vote yes if you want to see more traffic on 56th Street.
You should vote yes if you think urban sprawl costs less than creating population densities in the existing central town corridor.
You should vote yes if you don’t value prime habitat.
You should vote yes if you think deep, rich fallow soil in a sunny central location with an abundant fresh water source isn’t valued.
You should vote yes if you have not taken the time to explore alternatives to paving some of the most valuable farm land in Canada.
You should vote yes if you think a land developer can produce more quality food on one third of 500 acres than on 500 acres.
You should vote yes if you think “greenwash” refers to paint colour.
You should vote yes if you stand to gain more financially by developing the Southlands than Tsawwassen’s central corridor.
You should vote yes if you think global warming has nothing to do with building homes on farmland far from the town centre.
