A Canadian Forces CF-18 fighter plane has been added to the flying line up for Saturday's (June 20) Boundary Bay Air Show.
Linda Freer, manager of marketing with Alpha Aviation which hosts the event at Boundary Bay Airport, said the CF-18 was a late addition and will fly in from its base in Cold Lake, Alberta Friday afternoon around 4 p.m.
The public is welcome to watch the landing.
The aircraft will then be cordoned off and will remain on static display Saturday. It will then close the air show with a take off and slow fly by over the airport.
Freer said due to military commitments, the aircraft has been booked on a tentative basis and could be called away if needed elsewhere.
Gates for the air show open at noon. Flying starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 4:45 p.m.
Pets are not permitted and lawn chairs and sun screen are suggested.
