Winning never gets tiring for Toshi Uchiage.

The Thompson Karate Club instructor and Steveston Karate Club member won his seventh national title in the senior men’s kata division at the Canadian championships last weekend in Calgary.

It was Uchiage’s 13th title overall since he began competing at the nationals.

He’s won in all age groups from the 14-15 boys’ division to seniors.

He was just appointed coach of the Canadian junior national team for the Junior Pan-Ams in el Salvador Aug. 31 to Sept. 6.
