Sean Thorsteinson scored 2:14 into the first period, which was all Matt Walker needed. The Richmond Sockeyes’ goalie made 28 saves for his third consecutive shutout in a 6-0 Pacific International Junior Hockey League win over the visiting Delta Ice Hawks Thursday at Minoru Arenas.
Thorsteinson later added an assist, while Troy Paterson, Eli Wiebe, Drew Spencer and Coltyn Hansen also had a goal and an assist for the Sockeyes. Trevor Hamaguchi had two assists, while Jeremy Hamaguchi added an assist to his league-leading point total (29), which he now shares with Trevor.
