I would like to congratulate Coun. Harold Steves and his cohorts on winning their campaign to destroy the Steveston Post Office Park. Using all the skills of his many years as councillor, he used tactics that were questionable and showed a contempt for his opponents that would make Gordon Campbell proud.
This is the same man that helped save Garry Point, fought Terra Nova and demanded more park land from B.C. Packers saying there’s not enough green space. But now Councillor Steves as he nears the end of his political career, appears to be showing his real colours. Sadly when he does retire, he will be remembered as the man who destroyed our green space—the post office park in Steveston.
