Autism story was very inspiring

I enjoyed reading Erin Boe’s article, “Autism opens doors,” published in the Saturday, Aug. 29 edition of the Richmond Review.
Her story about her personal experience with autism spectrum disorder is very inspiring. I have a brother with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, so Boe’s article struck a chord with me in many ways.
I feel encouraged to know that youth with autism spectrum disorder are spreading awareness about their conditions and are participating in a wide range of community activities. I am glad that The Richmond Review is supporting diversity, not only of different cultures, but of different cognitive abilities amongst its RView youth reporters.
