Richmond is changing

Richmond has gone through major changes in a short amount of time and is still changing rapidly. With the upcoming 2010 Olympics, Richmond will continue to change even more quickly than before.

Much of the large open fields in Richmond have been replaced with many types of architecture. Apartments and restaurants fill our streets and Richmond even has it’s own Skytrain shadowing everything below. Many areas are becoming crowded with enough buildings to block parts of the sky.

Richmond is also nearing the time of an international event. When the Olympics arrive, Richmond will become more filled than it had been in the past. It will bring in huge amounts of attention and an enormous amount of people.

Even though Richmond was once a quiet city, it’s become much busier and almost unrecognizable if you were to compare it to what it once was. Soon enough, the things that haven’t changed will slowly start to change as well changing our city forever.
