Four young offenders are accused of swarming a teen, stripping him naked and then repeatedly applying a stun gun to his head on Wednesday night in what appears to be retaliation for past bullying.

Richmond RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Pound said police received an anonymous 911 call around 7:30 p.m. after four teenage boys surrounded a fifth, who was stripped naked and then repeatedly assaulted in the head with a push-style stun gun. The 16-year-old victim and his attackers all attend the same high school in Vancouver, but police aren't saying which one.

The incident occurred in a green field at Alexandra Road and Hazelbridge Way and there's no indication the attack was racially motivated, Pound said.

"He had several burn marks in the head," Pound said.

Three of the youths, ages 14, 15 and 17, then demanded the victim give them $200 each, according to investigators.

Three teens were arrested and have been released into the custody of their parents, while the fourth furnished police with information about the attack and according to Pound is considered more of a witness.

Richmond RCMP will be recommending charges of assault and extortion against two of the teens, and assault, extortion and possession of a prohibited weapon against the third.
