A 27-year-old man has been accused of using his cellular phone to take photographs up women's skirts at Aberdeen Centre.

Jaihyun Yoo made his first appearance in Richmond provincial court on Thursday, charged with the criminal code offence of secretly observing or recording for a sexual purpose.

The charge stems for an incident on Sept. 11, 2009, when Yoo was allegedly seen taking the pictures.

Yoo's next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 12 at 9 a.m.

This is the second time in less than a year that someone has been nabbed at Aberdeen Centre and charged with the same offence.

Cliff Li, 23, was also arrested after being spotted acting suspiciously at the mall in mid-October of 2008.

Li was also using his cellular phone, and approaching women from behind and taking pictures by pointing his phone underneath their skirts.

In April, Li received a conditional discharge and a two-year term of probation.
