Mounties are hoping a Richmond Centre shopper or employee saw something that will help lead them to two masked armed men who robbed Siba Jewellers Thursday morning.

Just after the mall opened at 9:30 a.m., Richmond RCMP received a 911 call about a robbery at the store.

Two men entered the business and fled with a variety of items from the store.

Victim Services volunteers were brought in to comfort those working in the store, who were shaken up by the incident.

Richmond RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Pound said there were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Investigators say at this point there are no suspects, but they are hoping someone saw something that will lead them to these two bandits.

Richmond Centre spokesperson Leslie Matheson said the mall was fairly quiet around the time of the robbery, mostly filled with shopkeepers opening up their stores.

The mall's security guards rushed to the area as soon as they heard about the incident, but by then the robbers had fled.

Anyone who was in or near the mall on Thursday morning, and saw anything suspicious, is asked to call the Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 or if they wish to remain anonymous they can call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
