All who served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace will be honoured at a Remembrance Day ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11.

The ceremony will begin at 10:40 a.m. at the cenotaph on the east side of Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Rd.

Mayor Malcolm Brodie will be among those placing official wreaths.

Once the cenotaph ceremony is complete, marching units will head west on Granville Avenue, past a reviewing stand near the Richmond School District offices, where an honoured veteran will receive parade salutes. The marching units will continue west to Minoru Park Pavilion, where the parade will conclude.

The parade includes a colour party, Royal Canadian Legion, Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Association members, cadets and representatives from the RCMP and cadet organizations.

Portions of No. 3 Road will be closed for two-and-a-half hours for the event. Temporary traffic disruption is also expected along the parade route.
