Richmond’s Diksha Chellaramani will be in Toronto Saturday to compete for the Miss India Canada crown.
Chellaramani is currently enrolled in the third year of BC Institute of Technology’s electrical engineering degree program.
Born in New Delhi, she lives in Richmond with her parents and younger brother.
An active local volunteer, Chellaramani has been the president of the Richmond Youth Advisory Council and volunteered with World Vision.
Chellaramani recently competed for the Miss B.C. 2009 title and won the Miss Congeniality award.
