Founded in 1977, Norsat International Inc. is a leading provider of satellite solutions enabling the transmission of data, audio and video via satellite in even the most challenging environments.
Norsat’s products include microwave components and portable satellite systems. The firm's products and services are used extensively by telecommunications service providers, emergency services, homeland security agencies, military organizations, health care providers and news organizations.
Three years ago, Norsat moved its international headquarters to Richmond—and the location has exceeded expectations, said Amiee Chan, president of Norsat. Proximity to transportation routes, the airport and a diverse workforce have made the move a success.
Said Chan: "We're truly proud to be part of this beautifully vibrant city."
