Your correspondents who oppose the HST, like the NDP in Victoria and Ottawa, apparently don’t understand economics.
Nobody likes taxes and nobody wants tax increases. But we have to pay for government—and the HST is a better way to go than the mixture of PST and GST we now have.
NDP leader Jack Layton and his candidate in New Westminster-Coquitlam just don’t get it.
