During Waste Reduction Week, we would like to recognize some people and companies who are making a real difference.
First, thanks to our recycling partners, Genesis Recycling of Aldergrove, Orbis, Iron Mountain, and Waste Management, who have enabled us to develop innovative, local solutions to waste reduction.
Thanks also to all the managers and front-line staff in our 70 stores, who have helped find ways to take back everything from computers to styrofoam.
And finally, thanks to our customers who support our waste reduction goals by returning the packaging from their purchases, and making the effort to bring back their old electronics and appliances for free recycling when they buy new ones from us.
Thanks to you, London Drugs has achieved a milestone – 10 million pounds of waste recycled, and counting.
London Drugs is a B.C.-based and -owned family business, and we will continue to reduce our waste at operations level and with more recycling options for our customers.
