Homelessness

Case law at the B.C. Court of Appeals shows that justices have decided that homelessness is not in itself a trespass on public land.

Homelessness is people needing help to find an affordable and proper place to live.

The homeless are refugees from our own society and deserve as much consideration as we give refugees from the Middle East.

A recent Morning Star article stated that people handling homelessness have run out of money to help.

It's near election time in B.C. now and the government has been bragging about huge surpluses.

Could we spend it on affordable housing for the homeless — let's say near the artificial track and field stadium or the new arena?

There is plenty of money. The real problem is getting it to work on the right thing, not to mention drug rehab.
