This is a response to Betty Hinton. Mel Arnold may have won this riding, but he is not my or a lot of other's representative. He won by using a very flawed system that only a few countries still use. Most of the wealthiest use proportional representation.

It was first-past-the-post that allowed the Bloc Quebecois to become the official opposition. This is why they and the Conservatives don't like it.

The system promised by the NDP and the Green Party is mixed-member proportional representation, the system that Germany and New Zealand use, not what Italy uses. The Liberals promised this would be the last election under first-past-the-post so that cancels out alternative vote.

Sixty per cent of Canadians voted for parties that promised electoral change.

There's the authority for change.
