Welcome to Sidney, a wonderful place

Re: Coming to Sidney, Letters, PNR, Aug. 15.

Welcome to Sidney, Merle and Katie Kroeker, you’re just the type of citizens we need to combat the small but publicly negative group that seems determined to undermine everything that the present and past councils have done to establish Sidney as both a desirable place to live and as a place in which one can successfully own and operate a profitable business.

Your comment that “the people here are passionate, intelligent and welcoming” echoes what those who become actively involved in this community as volunteers, elected representatives and service minded businesses accept as fact.

Your landscaping business will undoubtedly expose you to all areas of Sidney and no doubt you’ll soon realize, if not already, that there is much more to this community than simply Beacon Avenue.

As the Gateway to the Salish Sea Sidney has established itself as a great place to live and I’m certain your move to this community will help ensure that it continues that way.
