Harper buzzkills Canada’s rep

To the Editor,

By choosing to be a narrow-minded vocal cheerleader for the Israeli government, Stephen Harper has done Canada’s international reputation a huge disservice.

All his ‘bobbleheading’ ministers are marching in regimented lockstep behind him because they are afraid to do otherwise.

Unfortunately, self-effacing diplomacy is not Stephen Harper’s style. For him politics is war and scoring political points with his core conservative supporters is more important than preserving Canada’s once proud reputation for being an honest peace broker.

Lloyd Atkins,

Vernon
